PREDICTIVE COMPETENCE AS A SOCIALLY IMPORTANT PROPERTY OF THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE MANIFESTATION OF THE PROPENSITY TO RISKY BEHAVIOR

Abstract

Background. Currently observed upsurge of interest in definition integrative place of the human predictive ability in general structure of mental reflection for provide the harmony of the mental world of man, that appears guarantee for successful own potential. So important is the problem of predicting the future and build it in the context risky behavior of the individual. Objectives. The paper verifies the assumptions about the role of forming predictive competence in shaping social behavior that stipulate individual behavior regulation in the process of life and influence on his/her achievement of success as to adaptation of social interaction conditions.

Method. cluster analysis method was carried out with the help of K-means algorithm on a sample of 215 persons (108 men and 107 women), 18–35 years old. In the result of data processing, there were defined groups with different levels of manifestation of represented features.

Results. The obtained results show that prediction results and consequences of their own behavior (including risk) largely determines the decisions to be taken by the person that it is and how it will do in a given situation. The more conscious future, the better this opportunity influence on its formation, but also the more difficult to recognize. Conclusions. The risk activity may be characterized as certain type of adjustment to emerging conditions of situation, search of decisions and ability to use subjective experience in the process of solution.
