Abstract

Perfectionism as a desire to inherit excessively high standards seen as a multidimensional personality construct, but the question of its internal psychological structure remains open and controversial in science.

The purpose of the article — is to investigate the value of different forms of perfectionism and cognitive characteristics of the individual.

It was to achieve this empirical problem, namely, the study of the nature of relationship between perfectionism and cognitive performance factors used for correlation analysis by Karl Pearson.

It was empirically and statistically proved that between the structural components of perfectionism and cognitive factors, which include the general characteristics of social intelligence and statistically significantly related.

It was also revealed that between perfectionism as a psychological phenomenon and social intelligence factors set Linear dependence, from a mathematical point of view explains the statistical regularities in their manifestations

It was revealed the psychological characteristics of perfectionism forms depending on the availability of the system of intellectual abilities of the individual.

So summing up the relationship between the structural components of perfectionism and cognitive factors, which include the general characteristics and social intelligence can be stated that the chosen psychological phenomena statistically significantly related. Cognitive factors determine the manifestations of different forms of perfectionism.
