Abstract

The article highlights the process of the subsystem psychological support functioning in the total system of moral and psychological life support (IHP), training and use of troops (forces). The main reasons for the shortcomings in the functioning of the existing psychological support system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted the necessity of taking into account the psychological factor, its impact on combat activities of military personnel.

Based on analysis of local wars and armed conflicts of the late 20 th and early 21 th centuries, the experience of Armed Forces of Ukraine in the antiterrorist operation in the East of Ukraine, the author shows that they have not only military, but also substantial moral and psychological features, problems, and specifically: exercise massive informational-psychological influence on troops and opposing parties, the population, and the world community as a whole; the dramatic increase of evolutionary loss that can lead to a significant decrease in availability of troops; complications of solving support a favorable socio-psychological conditions in the areas of the performing forces combat tasks; the growth of the difficulties in maintaining order, solving sociolegal and humanitarian issues.

Clarifies content, the main tasks of psychological subsystems, views on its functioning in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Designed components of functioning of the psychological subsystem and formulated recommendations for its improvement. Offered a psychological support service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
