GENDER FEATURES OF THE MOTIVATION COMPONENT OF LIE

Abstract

Object of this investigations are gender characteristics of the motives of the using lie by adults. The propose of our investigation was proved the existence of the differences in the motivation aspect of the lie. Basic methods are testing, observation, interrogatory. Conscious motives were analyzed by interrogatory and unconscious motives were analyzed by testing (moral aspects).

In the psychology it is important to learn motives of lie. These motives determine moral estimations act of lie. A lot of years scientists attempted to learn differences men and women in the using of lie. Most important question is about differences of the motives using of lie. We have detected and described two kind of the lie motives. They are conscious motives and unconscious motives. We have revealed important differences between these motives in men and women. Conscious motives are more sensitive to social stereotypes.

Data of researches have not proved to be distinctions of lie’s motives. These conscious motives consist of mercenary motive and fear motive. All of men and women have this motives as general, but women have also third motive. It’s aspiration to seem better, and men’s third motive is envy.
